Teenage Pimps
And Their Teen Prostitutes

By Daniel Muniz

The purpose for having teenagers certified as adults is because there are certain offenses that are so heinous that these young punks need to spend a few decades behind bars for the public’s own safety. Unfortunately, when these lowlife degenerates are sentenced as juveniles, they only get a slap on the wrist.

One such glaring example occurred in Fort Worth Texas when a group of teenage hoodlums decided to embark on a new profession; human trafficking.

Three teens who were part of the Varrio Central gang would seek out runaways or girls who wanted to escape a harsh and volatile home life. So after devoting the time and effort in befriending them, these young punks would then assert their dominance over the girls and eventually force them into a life of teenage prostitution. And since these hoods were also juveniles, the kinds of girls that they were pimping out to the public were also just as youthful as they were, some as young as 12 years old.

And if any girl had the temerity to refuse to perform sex for money, these young thugs acted the same way that any adult pimp would act. They physically beat or sexually assaulted their prostitutes as a way to force them to continue working. They even made ominous threats against the girls’ families.

Make no mistake about it, these kids are lowlife degenerates.

They had plenty of regular clients who were more than willing to pay money to have sex with teenage girls. And they would also scour apartment complexes in search for new customers.

However, after they were arrested, these gang bangers were able to cop a plea bargain so all three of them were then sentenced to a juvenile detention center. But to add insult to injury, they will be released at the very latest by their 19th birthday. So in other words, all three thugs are going to spend about a year and a half inside a juvenile detention center instead of spending a couple of decades doing hard time in a tough prison.

A mother of the girls who was outraged by the light sentence said:

“These girls have to live with what happened for the rest of their lives. These boys aren't going to serve much time. I don't think that after a year and half, they'll be ready to get back into society.”

That mother is absolutely right!

The bottom line is that there is a certain threshold in which a kid is no longer a kid when it comes to violent crime. What these young punks did certainly fits that criteria and that is exactly why all three of them should have been tried as adults and then sentenced as an adults for long stretches of time.

It is understandable why prosecutors like to use plea agreements because a lengthy court trial can be averted. Sometimes it is a great way to expedite justice or to use it as means to an end when there are bigger fish to fry. And then there are occasions that the evidence may be a little week or that a sympathetic jury may cut the hoodlums too much slack if defense attorneys can exploit their youthful appearances. Such instances are perfectly acceptable because justice is still served and people are punished severely enough for their crimes.

However, there are times that prosecutors should not take the easy way out unless they absolutely have to. And a case as horrific as this one is a bad example of going too easy with a plea bargain.

Although there is always a possibility that one or more of these kids will be rehabilitated when they are finally released from juvenile detention, the ruthlessness of their crimes is a very good indicator of what their future actions will be like when they are set free. And that is especially true if they feel that they beat the system because they got such a light sentence. In essence, if they haven’t changed their ways, these hoodlums may be emboldened into thinking that they will get off lightly on future violent crimes since they were able to so easily circumvent the system.

So that is really the wrong message to send to young hoods.

And that is also why quite a number of district attorneys across the nation have gone out of their way to certify such teenagers as adults so that they can spend a decade or two in prison. In the long run, because of the vicious nature of such brutal crimes society is so much safer when thugs like these are locked up for very long sentences because they won’t be out on the streets committing even more violent crimes.

In the incident in Fort Worth, these young girls had to endure the trauma of sexual assault and human trafficking. The kids who played a part of this violent crime got off too easy and that is not what our justice system was designed to do.

But more to the point, they are no longer kids. They are ruthless lowlife degenerates.

It is up to prosecutors to not give these kinds of animals any slack. They are always exceptions but this is not one of them.
