LOl-I love that every inch has a little surprise to it like the one with a dog a cat and two ducks in the picture among other things. They are drawing that can be revisited to find more new things each time.
Love your universe! I want to ask - do you really draw your pictures with ink only? I mean no pencil/eraser preparing before ink? Looks so assured and clean...
I have signed up and begun 12 courses here on Domestika, mostly courses either to do with drawing, character design, comics, graphic novels, or water colors, and a few more fine arts and then some refreshers on photoshop and after effects.
I am going through and watching all the videos before I really dig into the courses.
Out all the courses and hours of videos I have poured over, I really liked yours the best.
Of course it helped that yours was in English, I speak very little Spanish, but I do like how you went through all the material, even though I could tell you are quite shy.
I have a degree in traditional animation, and I teach children art but I really wanted to 'AMP' up my skills and hopefully learn some new things, which I have.
So thank you very much. Time for me to start doing the projects.
That being said, I was wondering if you could tell me what brand of watercolors you use, and why? And what brand of fountain pen you use and what tips for fountain pens would you use?
Thanks again watched your live video today and it was good, thanks again keep up the good work. I look forward to seeing more.

@nsampson Thanks, I use Winsor&Newton, Schminke and I also have some Russian cakes, I tend to buy good quality but are not true to one brand.
I use a Pilot Falcon EF, I have found that it suits me best, but would not recommend it to someone just starting out, a pen is a pen and anyone will do the job, I would start out with a cheaper one but I'm not an expert (I usually say a platinum carbon pen, or maybe a TWISBI)
Thanks so much for taking the time to answer.
I just bought 24 mungyo set of cake/trays, as that was the only 24 set they had at the art store. I do have some Cotman tubes and a bunch of water color pencil crayons and water color crayons, have you used any of the later? The pencils or crayons??
@nsampson Personally I think Kaweco Sport pens are an excellent starter fountain pen, getting one is what really got me into drawing with ink. Mostly because the pen was cheap enough (£17) that I wasn't too worried about losing it, and also pocket sized, so I was happy taking it with me everywhere, and I ended up doing a lot of drawings this way "on the go", that would have never happened otherwise. (I never lost my Kaweco Sport btw )
Thank you for a great sketching course! It was the MOST enjoyable Domestika course I've taken yet. Your portfolio work is so amazing and fun!
I have a couple new sketchbooks - my goal is to fill them.
@betty_b_goode Hi there, on the bottom page of the second part of his course, he has all the details of which brands he uses and what he likes best.
Good Luck :)
Hello Mattias, I have done some courses in domestika. Searching I found yours. I find them great, I really like your drawing style. And I plan to take them. Would you allow me to ask what is the log you use? what brand and type of paper? and the ink from the pens. Thanks!
@natalia_zon I can give an incredible recommendation: Platinum Preppy or the Platinum artWORKpro. The Preppy costs 6 euros (!) with an extra fine tip, the artWORK 15 euros, also extra fine. The Preppy draws very thinly and has great ink flow. I use Platinum Carbon Ink. It is very black and has a slight shimmer - almost as strong as Klingner and Rohrer Drawing Ink 700.
The Preppy scratches the paper less than a $100 TWSBI. hahaha. Incredible...

PlusIt's just so amazing and wonderful how complex the drawings are. The compositions could not have been any better.
