Thank you Laura for very inspiring exercises and examples. I really needed this kind of playful approach to get rid of the fear of the blank page. I don't remember when I last filled the whole sketchbook so quickly! I had a great time doing every exercise and couldn't wait to see how the whole sketchbook was going to look like at the end. The most exciting for me was the idea to start a new painting on a random page and then connect the ideas. I tried it for the first time and I love this approach, I will keep it for my next sketchbooks. I hope some of these connections are visible above :)

Teacher PlusFrom your front cover, this is a book full of playful ideas, different techniques and beautiful arrangements of patterns and shapes. It shows such sustained effort and a real thoughtfulness about combining ideas and approaches to image-making. In some ways it's surreal, others more literal, and I really love how you've worked in these different, yet equally playful, ways. Massive congratulations. You should feel very proud!
